Having 2 coupons of the same item can be great when:
-There is a great deal on an item you use/want/need.
-There is a BOGO (Buy one get one free) sale *you can use a coupon on each item- even the one that the establishment is offering for free*
Ex: Currently @ Rite Aid: BOGO Tylenol
You could use 2 MFC (Manufacturer's Coupon) - recent ones have been $1/1 ($1 off 1)- saving you an additional $2.
or
You could use a coupon you may have that reads $amount$ off 2.
**If you have family/friends who are out of state, the cost of sending them can be matched by using one or two coupons- which will surely happen.
Out of state coupons sometimes have different values.
This can be great because stores like Shaw's and Stop & Shop double most coupons under $1 (a $0.75 coupon will ring in twice equalling $1.50).
Out of state coupons may also take the discount on a different number of items.
For example, you may have a coupon for $1 off 2, while their coupon is for $0.75 off 1.
My father recently sent his (and my grandmother's) from Ohio for less than $1.50 (there were 7 leaflets of coupons included). I immediately used 2 of the $2 off ALL Laundry Detergent coupons that were enclosed saving me $4. Making this even better, CVS had them (the Small and Mighty) on sale for $3.99. With my coupon and theirs, I ended up with 3 of them for $6 (cheaper than the regular price of 1)!
Hoping to help you save,
Kelly
