Today's Tip 1/23/10

1. Some retailers will allow you to use double coupons, meaning you can present 2 coupons for 1 item.
This is usually the case when the retailer provides a store coupon. You can use the store coupon with a MFC. Also, if the retailer presented a coupon in their ad, they will allow you to use both that coupon and your MFC. Store Coupon Books are usually found at the entrance.
STOP & SHOP, SHAW'S, WHOLE FOODS, RITE AID, CVS, and WALGREENS* all allow this.
* At Walgreens, you can't have more coupons than items purchasing. For example if you are buying 1 item, you can ONLY have 1 coupon.

2. Double coupons means that a retailer will double the value of your MFC.

In my neck of the woods, I know that STOP & SHOP and SHAW'S SUPERMARKETS will double MFCs under $1.00 (except some MFCs that say Not Subject to Doubling- however, often times they still do).
Ex: MFC for $.50 off will be doubled to equal $1 off

You can easily find out if a retailer doubles coupons and what their policy is, i.e. double coupon day, values... Just ask at Customer Service or at the register.
