Watch the screen as items are being rung in.
This way you can be sure that everything is being rung in at the correct price. If you can't see, ask the associate to let you know what certain items rang in as. You can also say, "This was / these were (BOGO, 50% off, etc.) right?"
MANY, MANY times, I find that items ring in incorrectly. Noticing them right away can save you time and money!
